English abstract
Global capitalist restructuring and the commercial opening that started in Mexico in the 1980´s have caused notable changes in its border regions. In this context, the most dynamic Mexican Pacific ports show notable alterations reflected both in the density and characteristics of their movements, and in the connection established with Mexican territory. For this reason, this article seeks to make a first approach to the study of territorial connection in the Pacific´s ports (particularly, the Port of Manzanillo), in a context dominated by the implementation of productive global networks that tend to be selective and exclusive.
