EDUCACIÓN INTERCULTURAL Y CONVIVENCIA DESDE LA PERSPECTIVA DOCENTE

En este trabajo hemos querido describir la concepción pedagógica que tienen los docentes acerca de la interculturalidad y la convivencia en sus centros educativos, caracterizados por la presencia creciente de alumnado inmigrante y el desarrollo de acciones educativas interculturales. Nuestro análisis pone de manifiesto las percepciones que tienen los docentes sobre los conflictos o dificultades que tienen los alumnos inmigrantes en su inclusión escolar, así como sus concepciones sobre la situación de convivencia intercultural que se vive en estos centros escolares, y pretende ofrecer datos y análisis útiles para elaborar estrategias educativas que mejoren la convivencia escolar y el desarrollo práctico de la educación intercultural.

In this article, it exposes the pedagogic conception that have the teachers about the intercultural education and the coexistence in the schools, which are defined for the importance of the presence of the pupil of immigrant origin is more and more intense and the development of intercultural educational actions. Our study shows the perceptions that have the teachers about the conflicts or difficulties that have the immigrant children in their integration in the schools, also the conceptions about the intercultural coexistence situation that live in this schools, offering useful suggestions in order to elaborate educational strategies to improve the coexistence in the schools and practical application of the intercultural education.

Español En este trabajo hemos querido describir la concepción pedagógica que tienen los docentes acerca de la interculturalidad y la convivencia en sus centros educativos, caracterizados por la presencia creciente de alumnado inmigrante y el desarrollo de acciones educativas interculturales. Nuestro análisis pone de manifiesto las percepciones que tienen los docentes sobre los conflictos o dificultades que tienen los alumnos inmigrantes en su inclusión escolar, así como sus concepciones sobre la situación de convivencia intercultural que se vive en estos centros escolares, y pretende ofrecer datos y análisis útiles para elaborar estrategias educativas que mejoren la convivencia escolar y el desarrollo práctico de la educación intercultural.
