(E)-Ethyl N'-(3,4,5-trimethoxybenzylidene)hydrazinecarboxylate

Abstract: The molecule of the title compound, C₁₃H₁₈N₂O₅, adopts a trans configuration with respect to the C=N bond. The dihedral angle between the benzene ring and the hydrazinecarboxylic acid plane is 49.75 (5)° and an intramolecular C-HO interaction occurs. In the crystal structure, the molecules are linked into a chain along [010] by N-HO hydrogen bonds, and a C-H [pi] contact further stabilizes the structure.
