FAKTOR-FAKTOR RISIKO KEMATIAN BAYI DI DAERAH PEDESAAN NANGGUNG DAN RUMPLN, KABUPATEN BOGOR, JAWA BARAT
Abstract
A sample study to identify the risk factors of infant mortality was carried out in the rural population of Nanggung and Rumpin in the Bogor Regency, West Jawa during a period of October to December 1985. A total of 768 households were observed, of which 23 percent had a history of infant death in the last five years. The risk factors identified were the mother's education, the mother's age at her first marriage, the mother's marital status, clean water supply, sanitary human excreta disposal, infant and under-fives health supervising and immunization accessability and the distance of the residence to the nearest health facility,. The father's education, the father's occupation and the family income were not confirmed as the infant mortality risk factors in the study areas.
