4-(4-Nitrobenzenesulfonamido)pyridinium nitrate

Abstract: A short C-N distance [1.394 (2) Å] in the title compound, C₁₁H₁₀N₃O₄S⁺·NO₃^-, is indicative of some conjugation of the sulfonamide [pi] electrons with those of the pyridinium ring. The crystal structure is stabilized by N-HO hydrogen bonds.
