Niveles de plaguicidas organoclorados persistentes en mujeres con carcinoma mamario en Veracruz

La etiología del carcinoma mamario involucra a los plaguicidas organoclorados en la prevalencia de este padecimiento, debido a su acción como disruptores hormonales y a su bioacumulación en el organismo humano. Se tomaron 21 muestras del tejido adiposo adherido al tumor mamario y 21 muestras de control del tejido adiposo abdominal de mujeres sometidas a cirugías de hernias. Los niveles de plaguicidas organoclorados se determinaron por cromatografía de gases. La edad del grupo testigo fue de 48.7 ± 16.6 años y del grupo cancerígeno 50.9 ± 13.4 años. El grupo testigo tiene 3.5 ± 2.6 hijos, mientras el grupo con el padecimiento 1.4 ± 1.3 hijos. Los valores del HCB fueron 0.043 mgkg-1 del grupo testigo y 0.036 mgkg-1 del grupo de enfermas. El β-HCH mostró 0.282 mgkg-1 en las testigo y 0.320 mgkg-1 en las pacientes con cáncer. El pp’DDE reveló 0.746 mgkg-1 en las del testigo y 1.098 mgkg-1 en el grupo con cáncer. El op’DDT presentó 0.041 mgkg-1 en el grupo testigo vs. 0.141 mgkg-1 en las enfermas. El pp’DDT manifestó 0.350 mgkg-1 en el grupo testigo y 0.398 mgkg-1 en el grupo con carcinoma mamario. El valor sumario del DDT indicó 1.133 mgkg-1 en las de testigo y 1.638 mgkg-1 en las enfermas. Los niveles de plaguicidas organoclorados son mayores en las pacientes con carcinoma mamario. Este grupo presenta menor paridad. Las pruebas estadísticas aplicadas indican falta de correlación entre ambos grupos de pacientes y una posible coincidencia entre la exposición mayor a los plaguicidas organoclorados y una mayor prevalencia del carcinoma mamario.
