| Inglés | | The greater schools played an outstanding role at the colonial time, because from their ex-alumni, the yearnings of opening of the university classrooms in the city of Guatemala and later in the rest of their provinces were constituted. Some of which had universities until the first decades of the independent period. In the case of Leon, Nicaragua, this one was the second university that was based in the year of 1812, after the one of Guatemala, whereas in Honduras, its university was founded until half of the XIX century in the city of Tegucigalpa, thanks to the managements made by the Presbyter Jose Trinidad Reyes and a group of friends who helped him enormously. Initially the “Sociedad del Genio Emprendedor del Buen Gusto” conceived by former Honduran young students of the University of Leon, Nicaragua, was based. They were: Máximo Soto, Alejandro Flores, Miguel Antonio Rovelo, Yanuario Girón and Pedro Chirinos, who created, in the best possible way, the corresponding rules until obtaining its establishment in Tegucigalpa in December 14, 1845. Its first chancellor was the father Jose Trinidad Reyes, becoming soon after the cornerstone of the Maxim House of Studies of Honduras. Throughout the years, the Nacional University, started developing gradually. In 1957, it obtained its yearned autonomy, which allowed it to increase, even more, its conditions of development through its own administration. Despite in the last years, there have been on the part of the Government and of some sectors, some movements against its autonomy, specially because of some aspects of administrative-academic backward that caused that in December of the last year a new law was emitted on the part of the Honorable National Congress that reforms it, and it is hoped that it places it in a different frame that tends towards its own progress or development from this year. | | | Español | | Los colegios mayores jugaron un importantísimo papel en la época colonial, pues a partir de sus egresados, se constituyeron los anhelos de apertura de las aulas universitarias inicialmente en la ciudad de Guatemala y posteriormente en el resto de sus provincias, algunas de las cuales llegaron a contar con universidades hasta en las primeras décadas del período independiente. En el caso de León, Nicaragua, ésta fue la segunda universidad que se fundó el año de 1812, luego de la de Guatemala, mientras que en Honduras, su universidad se llegó a fundar hasta mediados del siglo XIX en la ciudad de Tegucigalpa, gracias a las gestiones realizadas por el Presbítero José Trinidad Reyes y un grupo de amigos que le ayudaron enormemente. Inicialmente se fundó la “Sociedad del Genio Emprendedor del Buen Gusto” concebida por jóvenes hondureños egresados de la Universidad de León, Nicaragua. Ellos fueron: Máximo Soto, Alejandro Flores, Miguel Antonio Rovelo, Yanuario Girón y Pedro Chirinos, los que formularon de la mejor manera posible, los estatutos correspondientes hasta lograr su establecimiento en Tegucigalpa el 14 de diciembre de 1845. Su primer rector fue el padre José Trinidad Reyes, convirtiéndose al poco tiempo en la piedra angular de la máxima casa de Estudios de Honduras. Con el transcurso de los años, la Universidad Nacional, se fue desarrollando paulatinamente. En el año de 1957, logró su tan anhelada autonomía, lo que le permitió elevar aún más sus condiciones de desarrollo a través de su propia administración. No obstante en los últimos años, ha habido por parte del Gobierno y de algunos sectores, reacciones en contra de su autonomía, ocasionando su retroceso académico administrativo que provocaron que en el mes de diciembre del año pasado fuera emitida, por parte del Honorable Congreso Nacional, una nueva ley que la reforma y se espera la coloque en un marco diferente que tiende hacia su propio progreso o desarrollo a partir de este año. | | |
