Medios de comunicación y representaciones sociales. Los maestros: su imagen y autoimagen

En este artículo se interpreta la influencia que tiene en individuos de un foro virtual y en lectores de la revista colombiana Semana, las representaciones sociales que sus periodistas construyen sobre los participantes de marchas de maestros en este país, cotejándolas con la autoimagen que proyectaron los docentes de sí mismos en dicho foro. Se utilizó comométodo el Análisis Crítico del Discurso. Los resultados evidencian que las representaciones sociales plasmadas en Semana inducen a sus lectores y foristas, a tener una imagen negativa de los participantes de la marcha y generar estereotipos que transforman las relaciones entre ellos.

This article interprets the influence that social representations constructed by journalists about the participants in teachers' marches have on individuals in a virtual forum and readers of the Colombian magazine "Semana", comparing them with the self-image projected by the teachers in this forum. The methodology used was Critical Discourse Analysis. Results show that the social representations set forth in "Semana" induce its readers and forum members to have a negative image of the marchers and create stereotypes that transform the relationships between them.
