ROMEO MURGA, POETA ADOLESCENTE
English abstract
This article seeks to describe, analyze and reconstruct the life and work of Romeo Murga, a virtually unknown Chilean poet from the decade of the nineteen twenties who died early (before reaching his twenty-one-first birthday), the same as other members of his generation. In this work, Teillier feels attracted to this young figure of Chilean poetry largely due to the fact that Murga formed part of a generation characterized by the formulation of a not very intellectual poetry, sentimental, romantic and anti-modern, a poetry that was forgotten due to the premature death of its poets and the shadow cast by Neruda. Teillier emphasizes, finally, the importance of poetic exercises destined to the Praise of the Queen in the Spring Festival as the consecration of this young generation.
