SALTA. PRINCIPIOS DEL SIGLO XX

En el ensayo se propone una reflexión sobre las formas en que el pasado es construido desde determinados relatos históricos, ¿Quiénes relatan y desde qué lugar? ¿Qué valores y formas de clasificación de lo social reflejan, y a la vez construyen los relatos? Son, entre otros, los interrogantes que vertebran el trabajo. A través de la selección de textos paradigmáticos como "Las Tradiciones históricas" de Bernardo Frías y "La historia que he vivido" de Carlos Ibarguren, ambos escritores salteños, se propone una mirada antropológica de aproximación al entramado de relaciones sociales que configuran el cuadro de situación y época en el que los textos son escritos. Se problematiza la compleja relación entre Política y Cultura indagando sobre las formas de producción y reproducción de sentidos sociales, las disputas por imponer visiones y percepciones del mundo constitutivas de las identidades sociales, entendiendo que los relatos sientan las bases de una forma particular de imaginación colectiva, histórica, en Salta. Así, indirectamente, este ensayo constituye un intento de examinar, los usos políticos de la historia desde la disputa por los sentidos e imágenes del pasado.

This paper intends a reflection on the forms in which the past is constructed from some particular historical accounts. Who narrates and from where these narrations take place ? What values and forms of classification are reflected, and at the same time, make this narrative? These are, among others, the questions which articulate this work. Through the selection of some paradigmatic texts created by writers from Salta, like Las tradiciones historicas by Bernardo Frías and La historia que he vivido by Carlos Ibarguren, this paper intends to develop an anthropological approach to the network of social relationships that shape the context in which these texts were written. It considers the complex relations between Politics and Culture inquiring into the production and reproduction of social meanings as well as the struggle to impose visions and perceptions of the world that constitute social identities, understanding that these narrations are the basis of a particular form of a historical, collective imagination in Salta. Thus, in an indirect way, this paper analyses the political uses of the History considering the dispute over meanings and images of the past.
