El sector pesquero en Baja California Sur: un enfoque de insumo-producto

El propósito de este estudio es identificar y cuantificar los efectos del sector pesquero en Baja California Sur (BCS), México, con respecto al resto de las actividades de la economía estatal, y a la vez analizar su problemática e importancia para la entidad. En el análisis se utilizaron diferentes indicadores regionales y nacionales, y se empleó la metodología de l insumo-producto; al caso de estudio se le aplicó la matriz de transacciones construida para el estado, con el propósito de estimar los multiplicadores de producción, empleo e ingreso y, a partir de ello, sugerir estrategias para fortalecer el sector y coadyuvar al desarrollo económico del estado.

The aim of this study was identifying and quantifying the impacts of the fishing sector in Baja California Sur, related to the rest of the state´s activities, and at the same time analyzing the problems and importance of such sector in the state as a whole. For the analysis, various regional and national parameters were used, as well as employing the input-output method. The matrix of transactions elaborated by the state was applied to the case study in order to study the production estimating multipliers, employment and income, and based on them suggesting strategies to strengthen the sector and to contribute to the state economic development.

Inglés The aim of this study was identifying and quantifying the impacts of the fishing sector in Baja California Sur, related to the rest of the state´s activities, and at the same time analyzing the problems and importance of such sector in the state as a whole.
